All of us here at Acadian Hearing Services welcome you to another issue of our newsletter.
Happy New Year!
Our patients are very important to us, and we endeavor to help every one of you on your journey to optimal hearing health; that’s why we’ve signed with three new hearing aid providers, providing more choice and technology to find the best fit for you.
Jessica will also be attending the Louisiana Society of Hearing Aid Specialists Convention in the upcoming month, so we’re excited to gain some insightful knowledge from her when she returns to the clinic!
It was great to end 2019 on a positive note after fitting our Hear for The Holiday’s winner with their new hearing aids. It was super exciting for us, and it was just a real treat to be able to work with this gentleman. He, his wife, and his daughter were just all so lovely, and he’s doing really well with the hearing aids that we put on him.
We hope to continue to help our community on their journey to better hearing in 2020, but the journey starts with you. If you are concerned about you or your loved ones hearing this year, then please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
Our team is starting the year off with some significant changes to help widen and improve our service to all of our wonderful patients – we hope you can join us on our journey this year!
We wish every one of you an incredible year ahead.

Hearing Health Tip
You understand the importance of wearing sunscreen to protect your skin and sunglasses to shield your eyes, but do you give much thought to protecting your ears?
Many people don’t worry about ear protection until they start to experience hearing loss. With the rise in noise exposure from digital devices and city living, more people are becoming aware of the need to protect their hearing.
Every member of the family, young or old, with a hearing loss or without, should be protecting their hearing to prevent further damage.
Helping With Vertigo and Balance Concerns in Louisiana
Vertigo is the sensation of spinning, rocking, or movement when there is none.
The statistics around vertigo make for alarming reading. It affects over 90 million Americans at some point during their lifetime, and over 9 million people per year consult with their audiology specialists over complaints of dizziness.
At Acadian Hearing Services in Lake Charles, we’ve been Louisiana’s leading balance specialists for over 30 years, specializing in vertigo, dizziness, and crystal problems. Our team of doctors can conduct a series of simple, non-invasive tests to diagnose your condition and be able to perform treatments to shift the balance crystals out of their dislodged position and into their proper place in the inner ear.
If you believe that you’re experiencing vertigo, then the first step is to schedule an appointment so that our team of balance specialists can identify the cause of your concerns.
