The Most Trusted Team of Audiologists in Southwest Louisiana near Welsh, LA

After the War Between the States, Confederate Army soldier Henry Welsh homesteaded a piece of ground between Iowa and Jennings, donating a railroad right-of-way to the Southern Pacific Railroad in order to build a section house and depot. Similar to surrounding communities, the majority of settlers in the area came from the Midwest to grow rice and cattle, which was the main economic activity until oil was discovered in the 1930s.

Moving forward in the 21st century, Welsh is a stopping-off point along I-10 between Lake Charles and Lafayette, but our community is more than that. We are a rural community dedicated to preserving the Cajun and old south traditions of our ancestors and providing a safe environment to raise a family.

Rather than feeling connected to family, friends, and their community, those with hearing loss often feel disconnected, unable to share the abundance of knowledge and experience they’ve gained throughout their lifetime. Our audiology experts near Welsh, LA, not quite half an hour away in Lake Charles, have supported thousands of Southwest Louisiana patients on their journey to better hearing and a richer, independent quality of life.

Acadian Hearing Services’ comprehensive hearing assessments, expertise in balance and vestibular disorders, and advanced technology hearing aids used by our team of professional audiologists free Welsh residents with hearing challenges to reconnect and share their vibrant and rewarding life with family, friends, and their Southwest Louisiana community.

Better Hearing Starts with a Comprehensive Hearing Assessment

Noticing the day-to-day changes of hearing loss is a lot like watching paint dry. It is a slow process that is difficult to detect until following conversations with your family, friends, and coworkers become a challenge.

Regular hearing assessments are the only way to know the truth about whether or not you’re losing your hearing. Even if you are only experiencing the early stages of hearing loss, a comprehensive hearing assessment by a doctor of audiology provides a baseline against which future changes are measured and treated.

A hearing assessment at either our main office in Lake Charles or our South Lake Charles location is quick, easy, non-invasive, and allows us to provide you with the truth about your hearing in about 20 minutes.

Louisiana’s Leading Balance & Vestibular Specialists

Staying steady on your feet isn’t something you tend to concern yourself with until it becomes a struggle. Keeping your balance involves sensory information regarding motion, equilibrium, and spatial orientation used by the vestibular components located in your inner ears.

When vestibular components function as designed, the impulses they send to your brain allow it to order the necessary physical adjustments to other parts of your body to keep you in balance. However, when these components are not working right, they lead to dizziness and balance disorders.

The doctors of audiology at Acadian Hearing are well equipped and have more than 30 years of experience as Louisiana’s leading balance and vestibular experts to address dizziness and balance challenges.
