The ReSound One Hearing Device: Trialed And Tested By Patients

by | Nov 8, 2021 | Expert Insights, Hearing Aids, Patient Resources, Technology

Not long ago, ReSound announced the release of their much-anticipated hearing technology, the ReSound ONE.

If you’ve been following ReSound for a while now, then you’ll be aware of the high standing reputation they hold in the industry.

Notably, there is a lot of pressure on them to get it right. Not only from a user’s perspective but also an audiologist’s point of view, as there is a checklist that a device must go through before being offered to patients.

While we understand that our opinion is important to our patients, as Lake Charles’s hearing care experts, we also recognize that the opinion from someone just like them holds just as much or more significance.

So, to give a broader view of the ReSound ONE, we asked three of our most trusted patients to experience it for themselves over a 14-day period, sharing their feedback along the way.

In this article, you’ll get the pleasure of reading all about it, including an audiologist’s honest opinion.

But before we get into it, what is the ReSound ONE exactly?

How Is The ReSound One Different?

With frequent releases of hearing technology, it can be difficult to follow what manufacturer does what.

It’s not uncommon for patients to ask us, “What’s different about this model from the rest?”

However, to be completely cliché, the ReSound ONE is not like other hearing aids, as it sets the bar high in terms of hearing aid amplification.

As a hearing aid user, you’ll be aware of how frustrating it can be trying to fine-tune your device in certain settings, ensuring that you don’t pick up the irritating background noise.

Well, with the ReSound ONE’s speech recognition capabilities, you can hear in all types of environments, including those where there is substantial background noise.

To make this possible, a microphone sits directly inside of the ear canal, offering “a whole new sound experience.”

It utilizes the ear’s unique shape to deliver the most natural sound in all types of environments, reducing feedback and irritation.

This means that, whether you’re in a restaurant or meeting, you can hear a full scope of frequencies.

Additionally, it has an impressive feature that allows you to focus on only what’s in front of you, instead of all noise available. For example, if you are having a one-on-one conversation with someone at work, you will be able to stay focused on the conversation without getting distracted.

This can be particularly beneficial in group settings, as it adds that extra level of clarity and sleekness.

Available in a choice of colors, you can style your hearing aid to fit your complexion and walk out of the house confident in your hearing.

Users can benefit from seamlessly streaming music and calls from your smartphone, computer, or television directly into your ears.

So, What Was The Feedback From Our Trusted Patients?

Of course, it’s important to explain the benefits of the device, but you wouldn’t invest without looking up the reviews first.

Luckily, we selected a wide range of patients to be involved in this trial, all with differing hearing preferences.

Following 14 days of wearing the ReSound ONE in their everyday lives, they shared their feedback. Here’s what they had to say:

E.B. said that she can hear on the phone better, but she struggles to hear others when they are 2-3 feet apart from her. The ReSound ONE also highlighted that her hearing is far worse than she thought, and she feels like she is “almost deaf” without any amplification.

Ken said that they provide less wind noise and a clearer, more natural sound. He was impressed when he was driving, as the traffic seemed less noisy. However, he found cell phone app was not user-friendly . He rates the ReSound ONE as 8/10.

Lee said that he can hear and understand conversations better, and he would recommend the device to others.

Denise explained that the hearing aids gave more clarity than her last pair and mentioned that they sound great in all places. She rated them a 10/10!

A 10/10 for Danny – he was particularly impressed when he could hear clocks ticking in his house, describing the overall quality as very clear.

Are You Interested In Experiencing The Difference For Yourself?

If you’re someone who wants to take your hearing to the next level and experience background filtering and ultra-focus, then that makes you a great fit for the ReSound ONE.

Following the feedback from our patients, we believe that everyone should get to experience it for themselves.
