This is a business that’s especially near and dear to my heart, as my husband works for them!
About Freshko Food Service, Inc.
Freshko was founded in 1988 by Homer Robin and Jim “Jimbeaux” Guilbeaux, Sr. Homer had been laid off from the local produce firm where he worked, and Jimbeaux had concerns that he would be laid off soon as well.
In light of this, the two men decided to band together and start their own food service business in an abandoned warehouse just north of Lake Charles. And Freshko Food Service, Inc. has been serving the community ever since!
Freshko aims to deliver the best-quality products with minimal overhead. They cater to restaurants, hospitals, hotels, or any business in the food industry.
Today, the Freshko team has more than 150 years of combined experience, and they’ve achieved quite a lot of success throughout the years.
In the past three years, Freshko has more than doubled their sales. They’ve expanded their warehouses and installed state-of-the-art refrigeration systems.
And for five years and counting, Freshko Food Service, Inc. has been featured in the top 50 privately owned businesses of Imperial Calcasieu Parish.
We absolutely love seeing local Lake Charles business owners find such great success!
