When one-time lawman and pioneer land developer C.C. Duson laid out lots in St Landry Parish (Louisiana’s oldest) and named the development after his second wife, Eunice, LA was born. By attracting the Southern Pacific Railroad to add a line from nearby Crowley, our community began to grow and thrive.
